Pet transport can often be a stressful experience, especially if the handler is inexperienced. What is pet fraud protection and why do I need it?

Our pet fraud protection services ensures you don’t get scammed during the purchase of a pet. Millennium Pet Transport will act as the middleman during the transaction. Leveraging our experience in the pet transport industry, we can make sure you are dealing with only reputable buyers.

What will my pets be fed?

All pets aboard will receive high-quality, grain-free food and clean, purified water. However, if you have a particular food or feeding schedule that you want your pet to eat or follow, please let us know prior to the trip. Should the pet run out of food during transport, they will be fed our grain-free selection. This is in accordance with the AKC’s recommendations regarding food.

Why does my pet need a certificate of health?

Just like humans, pets can transmit bacteria and diseases to others. In order to protect other pets and drivers on board, we require a certificate of health to ensure your pet is safe to travel. This is in accordance with USDA regulations stating that pets traveling through the United States must have an official health certificate. With that being said, there are no exceptions to this rule.

How will you keep my pets clean?

Our drivers routinely clean vehicles using pet-friendly supplies. We want everyone on board to remain clean, healthy, and happy, so routine cleaning is a priority.

How often will my pets receive exercise?

Just like humans, pets need exercise too. All animals on board receive exercise every 3 to 4 hours of the drive, which usually entails a 20 minute walk. During this break, we also perform routine cleaning, so they are ready for the next leg of the trip.

Do you have any breed restrictions?

Millennium Pet Transport welcomes all breeds of dogs or cats. However, animals on board must not be aggressive or weigh over 200 pounds.

What documents do I need at pick-up and drop-off?

We require a valid photo ID and signature at both pick-up and drop-off to ensure the safety of the pet. Additionally, we will also ask for the names of individuals present at pick-up and drop-off. Lastly, a valid health certificate for the pet will be required at pick-up per the USDA’s regulations.

Who do you recommend for breed information?

We highly recommend the American Kennel Club, or AKC, for anything related to dogs. They have been around since the 1800s and are recognized as being experts in their field.

Do you work with special needs pets?

Of course! Millennium Pet Transport welcomes pets from all walks of life. If you pet requires special accommodations, please be sure to let us know prior to pick-up.

My pet has an illness. Can it travel?

No, a pet needs a valid certificate of health from the vet as well as being in good health.
